Another Indie Standout Makes NXT Debut Under New Name

Stokely Hathaway was the latest debutante at last night’s NXT house show in Tampa, Florida, going by the name Court Moore, and revealing his newest client.

His newest client is none other than Babatunde, who is an NXT house show regular, but other than the Greatest Royal Rumble match in April last year, hasn’t made his TV debut.

Babatunde was previously managed by Lio Rush on the NXT event loop, but of course the latter debuted in 205 Live and then later on Raw, leaving poor Babatunde without a manager.

Rob Strauss, best known as Robbie E, also recently made his NXT debut as a manager, with his clients being the Indian pairing of Saurav Gurjar and Rinku Singh.

It certainly looks like WWE is becoming more open to managers than they have been in recent years, with Drake Maverick and Lio Rush seemingly the catalysts last year.

Side note, I have a pal called Connel who is a massive fan of Babatunde, and he was absolutely stoked when he found out this news. Get it? Stoked? I’ll leave now.
