Another WWE Departure Confirmed

Another WWE Departure Confirmed WWE

Following the latest wave of WWE talent releases, yet another departure from the company has been confirmed.

Since yesterday (May 2), several WWE roster cuts have taken place across the main roster and NXT – including names such as Braun Strowman, Dakota Kai and Cora Jade.

Earlier today it was noticed that NXT star Shotzi had been moved to the alumni page of WWE’s website and now Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed her departure.

According to the report, Shotzi’s exit was not a release, with WWE instead opting not to renew her contract.

Following the news of her departure Shotzi took to Twitter, writing:

I am more than grateful for the wild ride! Can’t wait to see where this crazy journey takes me next!

I hope to make all my believers proud.

Shotzi’s WWE status had been the subject of speculation heading into the weekend, with the 33 year old posting an ominous promo to social media on Thursday.

Fightful Select could not confirm when Shotzi’s contract will be officially up at this time, but we will provide updates when they become available.

The California native signed with WWE in 2019, competing initially in NXT for two years before being moved up to SmackDown in 2021.

Shotzi eventually returned to NXT in 2024, most recently forming an alliance with Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolin, the latter of which was among the WWE releases confirmed yesterday.

Shotzi’s last match on WWE TV came on the February 14 episode of WWE Speed, losing to Zoey Stark.
