WWE previously announced that Hulk Hogan would be appearing on tomorrow’s episode of Raw to honor the sad passing of ‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund, and according to PWInsider, Hogan isn’t the only Hall of Famer that will be making an appearance.
16-time World Champion, the ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair is reportedly scheduled to be at the show, and while his role isn’t confirmed, it could well be similar to Hogan in that Flair will pay his respects to ‘Mean Gene’.
Okerlund unfortunately passed away on January 2 after a fall in December led to several broken ribs. We at WrestleTalk continue to send our well-wishes to the Okerlund family and all affected.
The ‘Nature Boy’ recently confirmed that he has been cleared by WWE to “do anything”, leading to speculation that he will soon be taking bumps, or even wrestling matches again for the first time in WWE since 2008.
Flair will join a stacked Raw show. The aforementioned return of Hogan has already been announced, as have those of Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, John Cena, and Braun Strowman.
Also confirmed for the first Raw of 2019 are Elias vs. Baron Corbin, a Raw Tag Title lumberjack match between Gable & Roode and the Revival, and the debut of ‘A Moment of Bliss’ with guest Ronda Rousey.
