In the main event tonight’s of WWE NXT, the second title change of the night took place as the NXT Tag Team Championship was on the line.
WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom looked to dispel doubts about their partnership as they defended against the Chase U combination of Ridge Holland and Andre Chase.
During the match, there was another miscommunication between Frazer and Axiom, and although they momentarily avoided disaster, it wasn’t long before their title reign came to an end.
In the end, Holland and Chase would pick up the victory and become the brand new NXT Tag Team Champions.
In a big part of the story, it was Ridge Holland that scored the pinfall over Axiom, with Holland proving his worth to the Chase U members who had previously had their doubts about him.
There was a massive celebration in the ring with plenty of confetti as the rest of the Chase U students rushed the ring and the show went off the air.
Earlier in the show, Tony D’Angelo lost the Heritage Cup Championship in a match against Charlie Dempsey – you can read more about that by clicking here.
Also, Oba Femi was able to retain his North American Championship over Raw star Otis.
