It’s been reported WWE released a number of staff including Tony Chimel on Friday, and we now know another name who was let go.
Spanish commentator Jerry Soto, who had been with the company since 2011, was released after being furloughed in March.
Soto said (via Super Luchas):
“Hi. Officially, I don’t have a job. I’m taking a bit of your time to tell you that I’ve been on furlough since March. Now, the time has come to get another job, preferably acting . I write it here so that you have me in mind with employment opportunities. Thanks for your time. It is not the end, but another beginning. If you’ve lost your job too, patience, joy and strength, and everyone, a disinfected hug!”
The current setup for Spanish commentary is Marcelo Rodriguez and Carlos Cabrera are alternating with one doing Raw and the other doing SmackDown.
