Another WWE star injured?

Another WWE star injured?

In the 756th injury to a WWE wrestler in the last week (that figure may be a slight exaggeration), it seems the ‘Glorious’ Bobby Roode suffered a knee injury at Saturday Night’s Madison Square Garden live event.

WrestlingNews.co report the following:

“Mojo Rawley defeated Bobby Roode in Madison Square Garden on Saturday night but the big news coming out of the match is that Roode looked like he hurt his knee on a leapfrog spot.

Immediately after the spot, Roode grabbed his knee and it looked like an audible was called because they went immediately to the finish.

Roode was limping and was helped to the backstage area by the referee. Hopefully, it’s nothing that is serious enough to keep him out of action.

We will pass along an update when we get it.”

The blow would go some way to explaining the somewhat surprising result in Roode’s match at MSG, in which he lost out to Mojo Rawley.

The injury has come in the midst of speculation that the former NXT Champion could be turning heel imminently, something Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer commented on:

“That was an interesting result. I think it tells you a little bit about that they are going a little bit with Mojo [Rawley] like they are on TV and they’ve given up on Bobby [Roode] – I don’t want to say given up. But he needs to turn heel and maybe that’s the catalyst he needs to turn heel.”

If this report is true Roode joins the following names on WWE‘s injured list:

  • Dean Ambrose – Tricep Tear
  • Fandango – Torn Lebrum
  • Jason Jordan (cleared) – Neck Injury
  • Sami Zayn – Two Torn Rotator Cuffs
  • Ruby Riott – Sprained MCL
  • Samir Singh – Torn ACL
  • Epico Colón – Shoulder Surgery
  • Randy Orton – Knee Surgery
  • Tamina – Torn Rotator Cuff
  • Oney Lorcan – Broken Orbital Bone
  • Riddick Moss – Achilles Injury
  • Tino Sabbatelli – Pectoral Injury

Of course if the report is true, we here at WrestleTalk wish him a speedy recovery, and encourage you to stay tuned for further updates.
