WWE
With less than two weeks to go until WWE WrestleMania 41, another title match has been confirmed for the two-night event.
Following this past Friday’s SmackDown (April 4) which saw two new matches announced for WrestleMania 41 and one canceled, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce has kicked off the penultimate week before The Show of Shows with a big announcement.
In a video posted by the WWE WrestleMania Twitter account, Pearce confirmed that Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker will defend his title in Las Vegas in a four-way against Penta, Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor.
This announcement follows weeks of build surrounding the four stars involved in the match, with both Balor and Penta recently being given opportunities at Breakker’s gold.
While Balor was defeated by the reigning champion on the March 17 episode of Raw in Brussels, Penta saw his opportunity foiled by interference from Balor, Mysterio and fellow Judgment Day member Carlito.
While the announcement confirms an eighth match for the WrestleMania 41 card, it also confirms that both Breakker and Penta will be making their debuts at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
The match will also mark the first time that Dominik Mysterio has challenged for singles gold at the Grandest Stage of Them All, something Balor is no stranger too, having previously won the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 35.
We will provide further updates as/when more matches are made official for WrestleMania 41
