Apollo Crews has turned heel. I wrote an article about him turning heel several weeks ago. However, last week, the heel turn seemed to be officially complete with his vicious attack on Big E.
Tonight, on SmackDown, Crews confirmed this new direction of his character. Crews debuted new gear and a new character during the show. He discussed how he came from Nigerian Royalty.
He talked about how his colors represent wealth, dominance, and power. His grandfather was a Nigerian king or something. He talked about how he had 5 wives.

He then addressed Big E in a Nigerian accent. He would then go on to face Shinsuke Nakamura. Crews made quick work of Shinsuke beating him in around 5 minutes minus the commercial break.
Crews then put his new scarf on after the match. WWE certainly seems to be giving Crews a push and this new gimmick and gear seem to be indicators that we’re going to be seeing more of Crews on Friday nights.
