A current WWE star is set to compete to become the 2023 Miss Universe Canada, describing the experience as ‘surreal’ on social media.
NXT star Arianna Grace, daughter of Santino Marella, initially revealed her participation in Miss Universe Canada earlier this year, however, now that the contest is just days away Grace attempted to make sense of the situation.
Taking to Twitter, Grace said:
Feeing so grateful for the life I live, I get to live two of my dreams at the same time this week.
I am a WWE wrestler AND I’m competing for the title of Miss Universe Canada this week.
It almost seems surreal, but I made it happen. Hard work always pays off.
The contest will take place on Saturday 19 August 2023, with coverage of the event available in the US and Canada via the Roku Channel.
Once Grace is finished competing in the event one would imagine the 28-year-old would be eyeing up a return to the ring in the near-future.
The second-generation star has been absent from WWE since suffering an ACL injury back in October 2022 and was initially estimated to miss nine months of action.
Taking into account this timeframe, Grace should be nearing a return fairly soon, with her latest update perhaps providing further evidence of this.
Meanwhile, there has been another update to a fellow member of the women’s division who unfortunately has been out with a similar injury to Grace, click here for more info.
