Ariel Helwani takes more shots at Tony Khan.

Following his appearance on the February 17 edition of WWE SmackDown, Ariel Helwani got into a Twitter back and forth with AEW President Tony Khan.

Months ago, Tony Khan appeared on Ariel Helwani’s show for an interview, but avoided answering many of Helwani’s questions, which Helwani then spoke about the following day and said it was one of the most frustrating interviews he’s ever done.

Khan called Helwani “a fraud” after his WWE appearance, which led to Ariel’s reply calling the AEW CEO “snowman”.

During Monday’s edition of MMA Hour, Helwani took further shots at Tony Khan, calling into question the success of All Elite Wrestling being his own.

Ariel threw a jab at Khan’s success with AEW by saying he was only able to launch the company due to the finances of his father and that while his own father is an immigrant, what he’s built as MMA journalist and personality is his own.

As previously reported, Ariel Helwani also revealed WWE’s backstage reaction to the tweets from both men. He stated that his reply to Tony Khan “popped the boys in the back.”
