A WWE Hall of Famer has explained why he isn’t disappointed about never winning a world title.
Arn Anderson is widely regarded as an integral part of pro wrestling history, being a legendary in-ring performer and “The Enforcer” for the Four Horsemen stable.
Despite being renowned for his in-ring and microphone skills, the former WCW Television Champion never held a world title in any major promotion during his storied career.
Speaking on the latest “ARN” podcast, Anderson revealed that his goal in professional wrestling wasn’t to be a world champion. He said:
“I’ve said many times before, that wasn’t important to me. I had the television title, which I took a lot of pride in. I was tag champion many times with many opponents.”
“Like I said, my goal was to be the guy on the other side of the locker room that everybody wanted to wrestle top to bottom.”
Ultimately, Arn Anderson never needed a world title reign to cement his legacy. He was a four-time World Television Champion in NWA and WCW.
Meanwhile, Arn has also had multiple reigns as a tag team champion including winning the WWF Tag Team Championships with Tully Blanchard as The Brainbusters.
Anderson currently works for All Elite Wrestling, serving as a coach onscreen and behind the scenes.
The Enforcer previously worked as a coach for Cody Rhodes and now works directly with his son Brock Anderson.
