Arn Anderson Says It Would Be ‘Foolish’ If WWE Star Isn’t First Choice To Win Royal Rumble

A WWE legend has stated that it would be foolish to count Brock Lesnar out when talking about possible Royal Rumble winners.

The Royal Rumble is one of the most unpredictable matches in WWE, usually featuring a few surprise returns. Hall of Famer Arn Anderson thinks that Brock Lesnar won’t just return, he’ll win the entire match.

On The Arn Show, Anderson was talking about popular predictions for the 2021 Rumble matches. Pondering how people can count The Beast Incarnate out, The Enforcer noted that Lesnar has to be in the conversation for WrestleMania #1 contenders.

Here is the full quote, courtesy of Ringside News:

“The Rumble has always been an exciting show because there are so many things that can happen during the course of an hour-plus match. I will just go there. How do you not count Brock Lesnar as the number one contender? I mean, to even skip over him, how do you do that?”

“You would be foolish if you look back on it and go, ‘Okay, he wasn’t my first choice,’ because he’s the guy. I have no idea what his contract situation is – but he’s the guy that’s always looming in the dark. He’s the Boogeyman, the real one.”

Brock Lesnar’s last match saw him lose the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36.

There hasn’t been any news on Lesnar’s WWE contract status since it expired. Triple H has recently noted that “Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants“, so it seems that whether or not he appears at WrestleMania 37 will be entirely up to The Beast Incarnate.
