Former NXT and WWE Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka has broken an interesting record in the company.
Asuka made her return to television on last night’s (October 31) edition of WWE Raw alongside Alexa Bliss, after several weeks away from our screens.
On the episode, Asuka and Bliss defeated Dakota Kai and IYO SKY of Damage CTRL to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships in the main event.
Well it turns out that with that win, Asuka is now the first person to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with three different partners.
The other two people Asuka has won the title with are Kairi Sane, who joined with Asuka to for the Kabuki Warriors, and Charlotte Flair, who feuded with the Empress of Tomorrow for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship shortly after their win in December 2020.
Alexa, Nikki Cross (formerly Nikki ASH) and Sasha Banks have each won the title with two separate people are all also three time Women’s Tag Team Champions. Alexa has two reigns with Nikki Cross and one with Asuka, Nikki has the two reigns with Alexa and one as Nikki ASH with Rhea Ripley, while Sasha has two reigns with Bayley and one with Naomi.
