VIDEO: Asuka Reveals Full New WWE Makeup Routine WWE

Since returning to WWE at this year’s Royal Rumble, Asuka has adopted a character and presentation more akin to her pre-WWE days as Kana in Japan.

Whilst we haven’t seen WWE’s application of the ‘murder clown’ gimmick hit anywhere near the same heights just yet, it was certainly welcomed as a much-needed change to the empress of tomorrow’s character, which had remained much the same throughout her WWE tenure.

One of the most striking new elements of Asuka’s presentation is undoubtedly her makeup, which is a drastic change from her prior iteration, leaning much further into the creepy side that she was known for in Japan.

And now courtesy of a video uploaded to WWE’s TikTok account, we have a look at Asuka’s process behind her impressive presentation on WWE TV.

The full TikTok video can be viewed at the bottom of this page.

Despite being recently drafted to SmacDdown, Asuka will take on Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at WWE Night of Champions on May 27.

The match will be the first time the two have faced off since Belair defeated Asuka at WrestleMania 39, however, this time it seems as if Asuka will be firmly in the heel role following her poison mist attack to Belair on the May 12 SmackDown.

The card for WWE Night of Champions 2023 on Saturday, May 27 is as follows:

World Heavyweight Championship – Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins vs. AJ Styles

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship – Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (c) vs. Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa

Raw Women’s Championship – Bianca Belair (c) vs. Asuka

SmackDown Women’s Championship – Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Natalya

Intercontinental Championship – Gunther (c) vs. Mustafa Ali

Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar

Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus
