Asuka Wins SmackDown Women’s Championship After Ronda Rousey Interferes

Well there you have it. Asuka is the new SmackDown Live Women’s Champion and she has got one hell of a thank you to give to the baddest and most grumpy faced woman on the planet, Ronda Rousey.

In the climax of what was a terrific TLC main event which saw tables and barricades destroyed, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair had ascended a ladder, with Asuka seemingly out of it on the canvas.

Then the crowd began to stir before the camera switched to show that none other than Ronda Rousey, who had successfully defended her title against Nia Jax earlier in the night, marching down to the ring.

Casual as you like, she gets into the ring, pushes over the ladder with Becky and Charlotte on it, and left the ring clear, allowing Asuka to climb the ladder and win her first main roster title.

This seemingly confirms that we’ll be getting Ronda vs Becky at WrestleMania, given that Ronda has cost Becky the title she worked so hard for.

Many believe Lynch is almost a certainty to win the Women’s Royal Rumble and then challenge Ronda at ‘Mania.

As for Asuka, well hopefully this is a major turning point in her main roster career, and she should now be able to have serious feuds with serious opponents rather than being best friends with Naomi.
