Athena To Defend ROH Women’s Championship Against Top Japanese Star

Athena captured her first championship in her AEW career back at the ROH Final Battle event last weekend.

Athena defeated Mercedes Martinez to win the ROH Women’s Championship for the first time.

Athena’s recent change in attitude has led to her capturing immediate success.

Now, Athena’s first defence of the title has been announced, not taking place in either ROH or AEW.

Prestige Wrestling announced today (December 17) that Athena’s firest defence of the title will take place on January 21, taking on TJPW ace Miyu Yamashita.
