An athlete has called out WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER for a fight, noting that he would have to ‘train’ for it.
A number of athletes have taken the step into a WWE ring in previous years, including earlier this year, when Pat McAfee stepped back into the ring, facing GUNTHER at WWE Backlash.
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has made a number of appearances for WWE, including a recent video he filmed with The Miz, where Kittle took Miz out with a big boot on a golf course.
Now, speaking to Kay Adams on Up & Adams, Kittle was asked who was next after he took out Miz, with him turning his attention to current World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER.
He said:
“I wasn’t really a fan of GUNTHER. Hell of a wrestler, but I think he’s pretty disrespectful to everybody that he wrestles and thinks he’s better than everybody else. Maybe he could get it one of these days.”
GUNTHER retired WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg at Saturday Night’s Main Event last weekend in Atlanta.
He is set to defend his title against CM Punk at WWE SummerSlam on August 2 or 3 in New Jersey.
