Authors Of Pain Ready To Return To WWE, Reason For Delay Revealed

Former NXT and Raw Tag Team Champions Akam and Rezar, collectively known as the Authors of Pain, have not been seen on TV as a unit since the December 17th episode of Raw where they lost to The Revival in a four corners tag team match also featuring Lucha House Party and The B-Team.

However, Post Wrestling is now reporting that Akam has fully recovered from his injury and is cleared for a return to the ring. The report suggests that the ball is now in WWE’s court with regards to when we see the two heavyweights on TV once again.

The report does say that the team’s return has been delayed due to the implementation of the Wild Card Rule. With a large proportion of each Raw and Smackdown now filled with top stars from the other brand, there is less time for lower-card and returning talent to be showcased.

The pair would be suited to Smackdown, with the blue brand somewhat lacking many viable tag teams.
