Backstage ‘Concern’ Over Bloody Rhea Ripley WWE NXT Segment WWE

Rhea Bloody Ripley lived up to her name following an attack that took place on the October 29 episode of WWE NXT.

The attack took place in the parking lot, as can be seen below this news story, with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez leaving seconds before Ripley was found.

Morgan would comment on the attack via Twitter after WWE NXT, mocking Ripley with the name she commonly uses.

Corey Brennan of Fightful has now revealed the backstage reaction to the segment, tweeting:

“There was some concern internally in NXT about the amount of blood shown during Rhea Ripley’s segment in the parking lot, but it was green lit by “a higher power” on the brand.”

He would provide further clarity on the identity of the WWE “higher power” who could have approved the segment, tweeting:

“Further clarification is that the green light came from HBK, Triple H, Lee Fitting or a CW executive.”

With next week’s NXT featuring a ten-woman tag match, it would be Ripley who would wish Kelani Jordan, Jordynna Grace, Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia and ZARIA good luck earlier in the evening, as can be seen below.

Grace, who made her WWE return last night, shared a photo with Ripley and ZARIA on her own Twitter account.
