Backstage Details On AEW Full Gear 2024 Darby Allin Car Crash Spot AEW

Backstage details have been learned regarding the Darby Allin car crash spot at the end of AEW Full Gear 2024.

After defeating Orange Cassidy in the main event of last night’s pay-per-view, several notable occurrences took place before the show went off the air.

Hangman Page, who had lost to Jay White earlier in the night made a surprise appearance and attacked the Death Riders’ Wheeler Yuta.

This led to Moxley being his by a Killswitch from Christian Cage, who appeared to be ready to cash-in his guaranteed AEW World Championship opportunity.

This would then be thwarted by Jay White, who hit Cage with a Blade Runner as Moxley and the rest of the Death Riders escaped ringside.

Before they made it to their pickup truck however, another car would appear from nowhere and crash into it, leading them to instead hijack a vehicle nearby to escape.

The person driving the car which crashed was revealed to be Darby Allin, who screamed at Moxley and company as the show went off the air.

Following the spot, Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio confirmed that it was in fact Allin who drove the car that crashed, rather than a stuntman.

Alvarez said:

“It wasn’t a stuntman. He (Allin) was driving the car.”

As can be seen in the footage below, Allin was bleeding from the head following the spot, but there has been no update on his condition since the crash occurred.

We will provide further updates if any more information becomes available.
