Backstage details on Big BOOM! AJ of the Costco Guys’ upcoming match at AEW Full Gear this weekend have been revealed.

Big BOOM! AJ of the Costco Guys is set to make his in-ring wrestling return after years away at AEW Full Gear, when he takes on QT Marshall, with Big Justice in his corner.

Fightful Select (subscription required), has provided more details on the upcoming match between AJ and QT at Full Gear, which will take place this weekend.

AJ took part in a recent media tourn, where he promoted his upcoming match on the Full Gear Zero Hour pre-show, with AEW being happy about the attention that the angle has gained in recent weeks.

However, the angle was actually never intended to feature on AEW television, with the buzz around the angle helping facilitate that.

Fightful was told that QT Marshall himself, as well as Sonjay Dutt, pushed for the match to happen, and that they had originally angled for the program to not take up any TV time on Dynamite or Collision.

A reason behind this being the case was so talent on the show weren’t discouraged that the angle took up television time, though AEW decided in the past week to incorporate AJ into a Dynamite segment to push the match due to the good press gained over the past month.

Those in AEW that spoke to Fightful have said that AJ and his family have been very respectful of the process, with one wrestler noting that it was clear AJ had been around wrestling in the past.
