There are new backstage details on The Kingdom’s AEW contracts that has been revealed.
As previously mentioned, Fightful Select reported that Matt Taven, Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis-Bennett of The Kingdom have all signed deals with All Elite Wrestling.
The Kingdom made their debuts with the company on the October 14 edition of AEW Dynamite by confronting ROH, IWGP and AAA World Tag Team Champions FTR.
PWInsider provided an update on the group’s contracts with All Elite Wrestling, noting that the deals are for AEW, not for the Ring of Honor brand specifically.
The report also notes that the word making the rounds is that Taven, Bennett and Kanellis inked three year deals that would lock them in until Fall 2025.
Ahead of their AEW debuts, The Kingdom were the IMPACT World Tag Team Champions and part of the Honor No More faction in IMPACT Wrestling.
Taven and Bennett lost the titles to Heath and Rhino on the October 20 edition of IMPACT on AXS TV.
Before signing with All Elite Wrestling, reports circulated that WWE were interested in Matt Taven, while the company had conversations with Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis-Bennett.
Meanwhile, FTR will face Swerve In Our Glory in a #1 contenders match on the October 26 episode of AEW Dynamite.
