Some new backstage details regarding the ‘Elite Deletion’ match at AEW Full Gear between Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara have been revealed.
Fightful Select is reporting that the match was filmed “about a week” before Full Gear. It was also noted that several of the talents involved had heavy input on the match (if we can call it a match).
It wasn’t just Hardy and Guevara who were involved, as there were also cameos from Santana, Ortiz, Private Party, Gangrel and Hurricane Helms.
The report also noted that the Elite Deletion got positive reviews backstage in AEW.
It was Matt Hardy who emerged victorious after a single-chair con-chair-to with Guevara’s head against the concrete ground.
