Backstage Details On Why WWE Loves Baron Corbin

A new report has emerged surrounding Baron Corbin, revealing the former US Champion’s backstage reputation within WWE.

In Baron Corbin’s 5 years on the main roster, he has asserted himself as on of the top heels in all of WWE. Despite being disliked by a large portion of the fanbase, Corbin is reportedly beloved backstage.

Speaking on F4W’s We’re Live Pal!, Andrew Zarian of The Mat Men podcast noted that he was told that Corbin is very pleasant to work with.

Discussing Corbin, Zarian said:

“Baron Corbin is beloved in that company. Maybe not by the fans but I can tell you from a former writer one time told me that he is one of the most pleasant people to work with because he will not be combative and he works with you on stuff. And us as fans we look at this and we’re like ‘ah, another Baron Corbin match’ but his heat was so negative where it’s now turned into normal heat in a weird way.”

Corbin seems to be in the midst of a character change. He recently lost a Battle for the Crown match against Shinsuke Nakamura, losing possession of the headwear he had sported since winning the King of the Ring tournament in 2019.

On WWE.com, his name was officially changed from “King Corbin” to “Baron Corbin“. A bizarre new Baron Corbin gimmick might’ve just been revealed with a recent WWE trademark filing.
