There is reportedly backstage heat on an absent AEW star following an ‘incident’ after a recent television match.
LFI member Rush has not appeared on AEW television for almost two months, last being seen on the November 14 AEW Collision taping, where he and the Beast Mortos lost an AEW Full Gear number one contender’s match to the Acclaimed.
It was noted on commentary in the weeks since that Rush and Dralistico were at home due to ‘personal reasons’, but the real reason for Rush’s absence may have been revealed.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Rush and Mortos were originally slated to beat the Acclaimed on Collision to qualify for AEW Full Gear.
However, there was some heat on Rush after an incident in their Rampage match with Richard Holliday and Alec Price, where they got physical with Holliday while he was being checked on by the medics.
Fightful did not mention if there is still heat on Rush for the incident, or when he will return to the company.
The Beast Mortos has made numerous AEW television appearances since, including as part of the Continental Classic and on tonight’s Collision show.
