There is reportedly backstage heat on Rey Fenix following the AEW Tag Team Championship match between The Lucha Brothers and FTR at Full Gear.

In the conclusion of the match, the champions pinned Cash Wheeler to retain their titles. Dax Harwood was actually the legal man at this point in the match, but had switched places with Wheeler to try to gain the advantage.

Wheeler being the illegal competitor was brought up on commentary, but wasn’t really highlighted following the bout. According to Fightful Select (subscription required), Harwood was meant to be involved with the finish, playing up the fact the illegal man got pinned.

In the post-show media scrum, Tony Khan revealed that Harwood was rocked during the match. Fightful reports that Harwood was either knocked out, or almost knocked out, by Rey Fenix around 10 minutes into the bout, and was side-lined for a large portion of the match.

The report noted that some individuals on the AEW roster took issue with Fenix not checking up on Harwood after the contest. Fenix has been known to work stiff in the past.
