What Happened Backstage After Heated Charlotte Flair & Nia Jax Match

An update has been provided regarding what happened between Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax during last night’s episode of WWE Raw.

During their match, it seemed Flair and Jax weren’t on the same page, weren’t compliant with each other, and exchanged legitimate stiff shots and had a real confrontation. The buzzword thrown around to describe situations like this is that it was a “shoot fight”. It wasn’t quite a shoot fight in a literal sense but you get the idea.

PWInsider is reporting that several sources stated that the suspected “legitimate” issues between both women is exactly what happened – it wasn’t some kind of convoluted plan or anything like that.

The report does confirm that the finish we saw, which was Jax pinning Charlotte Flair clean despite Flair being the Raw Women’s Champion, was exactly what had been planned, and they finished the match on the same page despite what happened between them throughout.

In terms of what happened backstage, PWInsider notes that there was “no issue” after the match.

With Jax having pinned Flair, that would lead you to believe there’ll be a rematch with Flair’s title on the line at some point, but perhaps WWE might think twice about putting them in the ring together again after what transpired last night.
