Backstage Note On Kyle O’Reilly AEW Absence

An update has emerged on Kyle O’Reilly, and AEW’s plans for the star when he returns to TV.

Kyle O’Reilly’s AEW debut in December saw him reunite with former Undisputed Era members Adam Cole and Bobby Fish. Tensions were teased between the trio and the Young Bucks, however Cole has recently been appearing without Fish and O’Reilly by his side.

Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, O’Reilly has been given some time off. O’Reilly’s and his wife welcomed their daughter into the world in January. According to the report, it’s expected that the storyline will resume once O’Reilly returns to the promotion.

On Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, Jay White made his AEW debut, helping Adam Cole attack Roppongi Vice. Matt and Nick Jackson’s reaction to White’s arrival was highlighted by NJPW, who stated that this storyline will continue in the coming weeks. Also on the show, Adam Cole confronted Hangman Page, teasing an AEW World Championship feud.
