Some backstage news has emerged on the appearances of WWE main roster stars on the August 30 edition of NXT 2.0.
A number of Raw and SmackDown talents were featured on the show, ahead of the September 4 Worlds Collide event.
Some stars, including Doudrop, Nikki ASH and Ricochet set up their own matches for the upcoming special, with Ricochet set to square off against North American Champion Carmelo Hayes, and Doudrop & ASH to challenge for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Others, including Butch, Gunther, Shayna Baszler and Rhea Ripley, popped by to interact with stars slated to wrestle at Worlds Collide. For a full list of main roster stars
According to PWInsider, several of the backstage segments had been pre-taped, as the WWE main roster crew were travelling to Wales for promotional and community outreach events ahead of Clash At The Castle on September 3.
Gunther is slated to defend his Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus during the UK stadium show. Shayna Baszler will challenge for Liv Morgan’s SmackDown Women’s Championship.
NXT Worlds Collide will feature several title unification bouts, with NXT UK set to go on a hiatus ahead of the launch of NXT Europe in 2023.
