A backstage note has emerged on Montez Ford’s injury, following the Street Profit’s announcement on Monday’s (October 3) edition of WWE Raw.
During the episode, Ford revealed that he was hurt, showing off a walking boot in a segment with The Usos. Jey Uso notably threatened to put Ford’s other leg in a boot if Ford was to say anything else to disrespect him.
There has been some speculation over Ford’s legitimate status, with some theorising that the injury is a work.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), the walking boot was actually brought in for Monday’s taping by the prop department, so even if Ford is injured, the boot he was wearing during the live broadcast isn’t his.
Fightful has been unable to confirm whether or not Ford’s injury is legitimate.
Ford last wrestled during the September 24 Saturday Night’s Main Event house show, with the Street Profits facing off against Alpha Academy. His most recent on screen bout saw him and Angelo Dawkins lose to Butch & Ridge Holland of the Brawling Brutes on the September 19 edition of Raw.
