Some more backstage news has come to light regarding big names in AEW, including the Young Bucks, having their contracts extended.
After reports that the Bucks had signed an extension, Dave Meltzer has now explained that they both signed deals starting January 1, 2019 and ending December 31, 2021.
Those deals gave Tony Khan the option to extend for another two years along with a raise for those two years, which is what he did. So they’re now signed until December 31, 2023.
Meltzer also noted that Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, Brandi Rhodes, Adam Page and Chris Jericho all signed the same January 1, 2019-December 31, 2021 contracts with the option to extend.
It was added that “many of them” have been extended, although no other names were mentioned besides the Bucks.
We’ll keep you updated with any further AEW contract news, as it seems like there are other talents’ deals coming up with Big Swole having not re-signed at the end of November.
