Backstage News On Current Plan For WWE Championship At WrestleMania

A report has named a Raw star who will feature in the WrestleMania 37 WWE Title match, and it’s not who you’d initially suspect.

The Miz shocked the world at Elimination Chamber 2021, successfully cashing in his Money In The Bank contract. Defeating an exhausted Drew McIntyre after a Bobby Lashley ambush, The Miz won the WWE Championship for the second time in his career.

According to a new report, WWE isn’t planning for The Miz to be involved in the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania. According to WrestleVotes – an extremely reliable source for backstage news – McIntyre’s attacker, Bobby Lashley, is pencilled in for the WrestleMania 37 main event.

Acknowledging that there is a lot of misinformation spread in WrestleMania season, WrestleVotes also noted that they had heard that The Miz isn’t scheduled to be involved in the WWE Championship match in any capacity.

WrestleVotes reported this information on Twitter, tweeting:

“It’s that time of year- LOTS of misinformation b/w sources, which happens around WM. However, from source: WWE Title match- The Miz is not scheduled to be involved. As of now, Bobby Lashley IS.”

While this information might change in the lead up to WrestleMania 37, this would explain why Lashley did most of the heavy lifting for The Miz, neutralising McIntyre before Mr Money In The Bank even appeared.

While we’re speculating over the Raw main event, the SmackDown WrestleMania World Championship match has already been announced. Edge ambushed Roman Reigns last night to make a statement, selecting Reigns as his opponent for The Show of Shows.

This is the second time that The Miz has cashed in to win the WWE Championship. “Angry Miz girl”, made famous with her reaction to Miz’ 2010 cash in, has reacted to him winning the title at Elimination Chamber 2021.
