Backstage Push For WWE Star To Switch Brands

Backstage Push For WWE Star To Switch Brands WWE

There has reportedly been a backstage push from a number of people in WWE for a popular star to switch brands.

LA Knight was a part of his third straight Money In The Bank Ladder match this year, with him falling short to Seth Rollins in the titular match.

Knight and Rollins had come to blows the following night on SmackDown, with Rollins laying him out with a Curb Stomp, which led to Knight getting his revenge on Rollins on the following episode of Raw, when he cost Bron Breakker his King of the Ring first round match.

The rivalry would then continue onto SmackDown and this week’s Raw, with LA Knight being cost his King of the Ring match, while LA Knight helped cost Bronson Reed his match on this week’s Raw.

After a number of appearances on the Raw brand, WrestleVotes has provided an update, noting that there has been a number of people in the company pushing for Knight to move over to the Raw brand.

They said:

“According to those within the company, we are told more than a handful of people are advocating for LA Knight to be moved to the Raw brand in the near future, as his presence on Netflix could be viewed as something of a refreshing change. In his time with WWE, Knight has wrestled just two Raw matches in total, those being in February of 2024 versus Ivar in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match and March of 2023 versus Cody Rhodes.

“LA Knight has been signed with the company since February of 2021 and has two Raw matches under his belt. He’s been appearing on Raw over the last two weeks, very, very briefly. However, there are more than a handful of people like we just said that want to see him on Monday Night Raw each and every week.”
