Backstage Reaction To Adam Copeland AEW Injury AEW

Following his injury at Double Or Nothing 2024, a new report has revealed a backstage reaction to Adam Copeland’s AEW injury status.

At AEW Double Or Nothing 2024, Adam Copeland defeated Malakai Black to retain the TNT Championship in a Barbwire Steel Cage Match.

During the course of the match, Copeland leaped off the top of the cage for an elbow drop on Black through a table wrapped in barbwire, but he landed on his feet before coming down on Malakai.

In a video posted on May 28, Copeland announced that he suffered a broken tibia and needed surgery due to this spot.

According to PWInsider, the internal reaction to Adam Copeland’s injury among AEW staff and talent has been universal sadness and sympathy.

The report notes that Copeland has been a great mentor and sounding board for talent since his arrival in All Elite Wrestling.

Despite the obvious creative issues in regards to Copeland having to vacate the TNT Championship now, sources feel there will be a great void behind the scenes while he is gone recovering from the injury.

WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on Adam Copeland’s injury when they become available.
