Fightful Select has revealed some of the backstage reaction to the reports that The Miz tore his ACL in his match against Damian Priest at WrestleMania Backlash and potentially faces a long layoff.
Talent that the site spoke to said that they suspected “something was wrong” while watching the match in the back, but didn’t think the injury was as severe as a torn ACL.
People within WWE that Fightful spoke to credited The Miz for being able to get through the match with the injury, with Miz being figuratively applauded for getting to the intended finish despite being seriously hurt.
