The backstage reaction to the ‘lackluster’ crowd responses at Monday’s (May 8) WWE Raw taping has been revealed.
This week’s show featured many notable matches segments, with the Raw bracket of the World Heavyweight Title tournament concluding with Seth Rollins advancing to the finals at Night of Champions.
A new report has indicated that the WWE production team felt they had to rely on piped in crowd noise.
Per WRKD Wrestling on Twitter, the response from the Jacksonville, Florida crowd was viewed as ‘lackluster’ backstage.
Noting that it was described as a ‘no-win scenario’, WRKD Wrestling tweeted:
Production at last night’s #WWERaw from Jacksonville, Florida was aware of the lackluster crowd responses compared to this weekend’s events.
We heard it described as a “no-win scenario,” either they use the filler crowd noise or they broadcast the silent crowd on TV.
