The backstage reaction to the performance of Sting at Sunday’s AEW Double Or Nothing pay-per-view has been revealed.
Sting teamed with Darby Allin to defeat Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky, and many were impressed with Sting’s first in-ring outing since 2015.
As reported by PWInsider, there was a “HUGE pop” for Sting’s work in the back with AEW talent watching the show.
The win puts Sting at a 2-0 AEW record after he and Darby Allin beat Brian Cage and Ricky Starks in a cinematic street fight at Revolution in February.
Especially considering he’s 62 years old, the Icon’s performance was great and benefitted the three other guys in the match.
