Backstage Reaction To AEW Dynamite Ending On Satnam Singh Debut

Backstage Reaction To AEW Dynamite Ending On Satnam Singh Debut AEW

While fans online may have expressed their dismay at the ending of last night’s (April 13) episode of AEW Dynamite, it was shocking!

It was quite the surprise to see monstrous Satnam Singh make his debut, after sneaking up behind and subsequently incapacitating the newly crowned ROH Television Champion, Samoa Joe.

According to fan fervor online though, maybe not shocking in a good way as many fans felt the debut fell flat, confused by the lights off production technique to introduce a relatively unknown new roster member as a befuddled crowd watched on.

It seems now per a new report from Fightful Select, the reception for the episode ending spot was equally received backstage as it was by some fans.

Multiple “members of the roster” spoke to Fightful and shared that while they may believe the debut could have been executed better, it was a positive business decision to “help the company in India.”

Also noting the confusing aspect of using the lights off and back on strategy, one wrestler mentioned to Fightful that doing lights out for an unknown talent “isn’t optimal,” and thought the debut should have been done another way.

Satnam Singh may be relatively unknown to fans but he is known to members of the locker room who also noted to Fightful their awareness of how hard Singh had been training with at least one noting his dedication to training daily for the last 8 months, even noting that Satnam “has some tricks up his sleeve that will surprise some people.”

Reportedly everyone that Fightful spoke to had positive things to say about Singh’s work ethic and positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Singh has not officially made an in-ring debut yet, you can view the win/loss records for the other members of the AEW roster here.
