The backstage reaction to the end of NXT UK has been revealed.
On August 18, WWE announced the launch of the NXT Europe brand and the NXT UK brand going on hiatus for a few months.
Per PWInsider, those within the company view this as a case of taking a step back to take a step forward.
It was stated by one source that they were shutting down the brand in order to access and strategize the best way to launch NXT Europe next year with a staff centered there and the idea of being a touring brand regionally when the time is right.

Following the announcement of the NXT Europe brand, WWE and various stars announced their release from the promotion.
