Fightful has spoken to several members of the WWE roster to gather their reactions to the debut of CM Punk on WWE Backstage Tuesday night.
One longtime WWE name who has known Punk for some time told Fightful that they had heard of Punk burning bridges although had personally had no issue with him.
The same name added that if WWE didn’t do something with Punk for Survivor Series weekend – which is being held in Chicago – they would have “royally f***ed up.”
Another top talent said they would love to work with Punk in some capacity, be that in the ring, doing promos, or otherwise. They added that a great story could be told with Punk, and that would mean happy fans and more money.
It wasn’t all hugs and kisses though, as a high-level WWE roster member simply said “I have zero time for that guy. So no thoughts, no.”
Almost everyone who got back to Fightful seemed to think CM Punk will wrestle in WWE again.
