A backstage update has emerged regarding the success of AEW’s weekly programming on the Max streaming platform.
As of AEW Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen on January 1, the company’s weekly programming has been airing simultaneously on both cable TV and Max.
While many were expecting AEW’s TV viewership numbers to take a hit following this change, the company has largely maintained their numbers from before the move to Max.
This naturally has led to curiosity regarding AEW’s success on Max, with a new report from Fightful Select sharing some new details on their viewership on the service.
While Max doesn’t disclose viewership figures, Fightful Select did confirm via a WBD source that AEW has ranked within the top live sports events on the platform but official numbers are being “kept close to the vest”.
According to Wrestlenomics, this week’s Dynamite (January 22) drew 655,000 viewers on average, with a 0.19 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
We will provide further updates on AEW’s Max viewership if more information becomes available.
