A backstage note has emerged on the Street Profits, following speculation that the WWE tag-team will soon split.
At Money in the Bank, the Street Profits unsuccessfully challenged for The Usos’ WWE Tag Team Championship.
During the bout, Montez Ford’s ‘new physique’ was put over on commentary multiple times.
This, as well as teases in recent segments, has led some fans to theorize that Ford and Angelo Dawkins will soon be split from one another on TV.
Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there are currently people in WWE pushing to make Ford a singles star:
“I know there are people who want to push (Montez Ford) as a singles (star) so it’s possible. It will be really tough for (Angelo Dawkins) if they break up the team, I can see him really falling off.
“I can see (WWE) really wanting to do something with Ford as a single, he’s got a lot of charisma, super athlete, so there are people who are very high on him right now, especially with his new physique.”

Ford last competed in singles action on Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, defeating Jey Uso ahead of Money in the Bank.
