Backstage news has emerged regarding plans for Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar, which is set to take place at the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view.
The latest Wrestling Observer daily update provided an update on future plans for Reigns and Lesnar after their upcoming Universal Title match.
According to the Observer’s report, Reigns vs Lesnar is scheduled to be a multi-match series, with this being one of the matches in said series.
There has already been one match between them, which took place in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel on October 21, with Reigns winning and retaining the title.
Lesnar is reportedly scheduled for the Royal Rumble, and is the most likely opponent for Reigns at WrestleMania in April.
On this past Friday’s SmackDown, Lesnar softened up Sami Zayn before Roman Reigns beat Zayn to retain the Universal Title. Lesnar is also scheduled for this coming Friday’s SmackDown as well.
