16-time WWE World Champion John Cena has been announced for the upcoming Barbie movie, slated for a July 2023 release.
Cena was confirmed for the film in the second teaser trailer which dropped on Tuesday (April 4).
Cena joins a star-studded cast, with the likes of Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Dua Lipa, Simu Liu and Will Ferrell also set to star in the project.
Barbie, directed by Greta Gerwig, will release in theaters on July 21.
This announcement follows Cena’s recent WWE run, with the popular star facing Austin Theory for the US Championship at WrestleMania 39.
Theory was ultimately victorious, pinning Cena after an A-Town Down to retain his gold.
It has since been reported that this match went way under the allotted time, with the Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley SmackDown Women’s Title bout which took place later that night reportedly going over the original allotted time.
Adam Pearce was reportedly the producer in charge for the US Championship bout.
