It has unfortunately emerged that Randall Barry Orton, uncle of current WWE star Randy Orton, has passed away aged 62.
He was the son of Bob Orton Sr and the brother of ‘Cowboy’ Bob Orton Jr.
Orton most notably wrestled under the ring names Barry Orton, Berry Orton, Barry O and under a mask as the Zodiak.
He made his pro-wrestling debut in 1976 before retiring in 1992. He had two stints with the WWF in 1985-1986 and 1990-1991.
He notably held the Americas Tag Team Championship with Hector Guerrero at the age of 19, and later won the ICW Southeastern Tag Team Championship with his brother Bob.
Later in his career, he had made allegations of sexual abuse within the wrestling industry. After making these allegations, he left the industry to pursue an acting career.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer first reported his passing.
We send our condolences to Orton’s family, friends, and everyone affected by this sad news.
