Movie star and former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Batista has been awarded the position of Honorary Deputy Sheriff.
The real-life Dave Bautista revealed he had been awarded the role in a recent post on social media.
In the post, Batista noted that it wasn’t an honor that he saw coming, thanking Titus O’Neil and Sheriff Chas Chronister for their work in the Hillsborough County community, stating:
“Honorary Deputy Sheriff of Hillsborough County, Florida… I didn’t see that one coming either. 🤷♂️😂
“Big love and thanks to my brother @titusoneilwwe and Sheriff @chadchronister for the honor and for everything you do for this community. Appreciate you both.
“Tampa’s held a special place in my heart ever since I moved here 20 years ago. Always has. Always will.”
Titus O’Neil is a WWE Global Ambassador and was the recipient of the Warrior Award at the 2020 Hall of Fame for his charitable work.
Dave Bautista continues to be a prominent player in Hollywood, having recently been a presenter at the 2025 Oscars.
Upcoming movie projects for the star include In the Lost Lands, directed by Paul W S Anderson, and The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender.
