Battle Royal Announced For Evolution, Former Star Returning

WWE announced on Raw that there will be a battle royal at Evolution with the winner receiving a Women’s Title shot at an undefined point in the future.

There are some interesting names announced for the match so far. The complete list is:

• Ember Moon
• Nia Jax
• Dana Brooke
• Alicia Fox
• Peyton Royce
• Billie Kay
• Tamina
• Asuka
• Mandy Rose
• Carmella
• Lana
• Sonya Deville
• Naomi
• Torrie Wilson

Tamina made her return to the ring on Raw, teaming with Dana Brooke in a defeat to Nia Jax and Ember Moon.

Following the match, Tamina superkicked Nia then teamed with Moon to throw Jax out of the ring. For some reason . . .

The idea was to hype the battle royal, but given it was not a battle royal it came across as ridiculous. Michael Cole compounded the misery after Dana Brooke threw Ember and Tamina out of the ring, saying she had “eliminated” them.

Other names that catch the eye on the above list are Torrie Wilson – who is making her first appearance since competing in the Royal Rumble – and Asuka. What a fall from grace for the Empress Of Tomorrow after winning the Royal Rumble and taking Charlotte Flair to the limit in a cracker at WrestleMania.

There are 14 women announced for the battle royal thus far and more from the main roster, NXT and NXT UK are expected to be added.
