On last night’s episode of NXT, Candice LeRae cam up short in a valiant effort to dethrone women’s champion Shayna Baszler, but it looks like she could be going for even more gold this weekend.
At time of writing, the Hell in a Cell card only has three matches on it, and it seems that the wrestlers are now taking things into their own hands to try and flesh out the show a bit.
SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley congratulated Candice on her match last night (what a heel) on Twitter, and then challenged her to a match at Hell in a Cell.
.@CandiceLeRae I’ve sat in a crowd watching you, as a teenager & fan. I’ve stood on the ring apron as your tag partner. And I’ve stood across the ring from you as an opponent. But my favorite will be tonight watching as your friend on @WWENXT @USA_Network #nxtwomenschampionship pic.twitter.com/cXKZfR93jx

@CandiceLeRae well damn. I still don’t have a match at HIAC. How about another title match?

LeRae is still very much a member of the NXT roster, but there’s no reason why she can’t debut on Friday’s SmackDown and accept Bayley’s challenge.
Maybe we’re just getting three, hour long matches for Hell in a Cell?
