WWE Night of Champions saw Asuka lose the Queen of the Ring final to Jade Cargill, and Bayley has sent a message to her former teammate.
With Jade Cargill thanking Asuka for the match, Bayley has taken a different tack towards her former Damage CTRL teammate.
Bayley reacted to a photo shared on Asuka’s official Instagram account that showed the star somewhat disappointed in herself after the match.
The post, which can be seen below this news story, didn’t feature a caption from Asuka, but did feature a comment from Bayley that reads:
“u wish u had damage CTRL now huh 🙄”
Asuka has since gone on to respond to Cargill’s message of thanks, suggesting that she may be more aggressive in their next singles match.
Formed in July 2022, Damage CTRL was quietly disbanded in early May following the departure of Dakota Kai.
Led by Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY completed the original lineup, with Asuka joining in November 2023 and Bayley being ejected in February the following year.
Asuka returned to WWE Raw on June 16 after more than a year away to treat a knee injury that had required surgery.
