Bayley Says She Was ‘Offended’ By Braun Strowman WWE Raw Return

WWE star Bayley has criticised Braun Strowman’s return on WWE Raw, noting that she was ‘a little offended’ by the segment.

On the September 5 edition of WWE Raw, Strowman interfered in the tag-team fourway bout, laying waste to Alpha Academy, the New Day, Los Lotharios and the Street Profits. This was Strowman’s first WWE appearance since his release in June 2021.

On WWE The Bump, Bayley stated that she wasn’t a fan of how the tag-teams were presented in that segment, noting:

“I’m actually a little offended because, as a tag team specialist myself, he ruined a perfectly good tag match.”

After Dakota Kai questioned why Strowman was involved with a tag-team segment, Bayley said:

“We’re supposed to be helping each other, we’re supposed to be building each other up.”

This is not the first time a Strowman angle has been criticised for making the tag division look bad. Ahead of WrestleMania 34 in 2018, Strowman won a Raw Tag Team Championship #1 contender’s battle royal without a partner. Strowman went on to win the tag title with Nicholas, a young fan picked from the crowd, who has now reacted to Braun Strowman’s WWE return.

Strowman hasn’t wrestled since WrestleMania Backlash 2021, when he unsuccessfully challenged for the WWE Championship in three-way action. He is scheduled to appear during the September 9 edition of SmackDown.

Triple H’s plans for Strowman moving forward have reportedly been revealed.
